Peperomia Burbella is botanically a Peperomia caperata hybrid. It is a unique plant that was created by breeding. What makes the plant so special is the round, gray leaves with a dark vein. The plant clearly has the ridges of a caperata. The Burbella likes a light spot, but absolutely not full sun. This plant prefers stable conditions, so the temperature and humidity in the pot are as stable as possible. It is better to water the plant from under water or on the ground.
The plant wants nutrition during the summer and a stable water supply.
The Peperomia family is a very large plant family of about 500 ornamental foliage plants and is related to the pepper plant. Most Peperomia variations originally come from the Amazon basin of South America, where they grow in warm and shaded conditions. Peperomias are easy to care for and suitable for most rooms in the home. Most plants produce a flower of a striking colour or small bell or spike flower.
For the Eden Collection, the best varieties have been selected and multiple new varieties are being discovered every year and also added to the collection.
