3 Seasonals with which you can show your color!

As the seasons change, Eden Collection changes with it. The Seasonals are plants that, as the name suggests, are only sold for one season. These Seasonals are only available during the summer period and we want to tell you all about them. There are 3 Seasonals in the Eden Collection and they all have a nice story. Read on to learn more about our Seasonals.

Sinocrassula yunnanensis

The first Seasonal is the Sinocrassula yunnanensis, also called the Napoli Noire. This succulent plant is originally found in China in the Yunnan region, which is also where the name comes from. The plant grows wild near the Himalayas in western China and is a true summer plant. As with most succulents, too much water is fatal, and so is the Sinocrassula yunnanensis. Therefore, it is better to have soil that's too dry than too wet. He doesn't like to get his feet wet! The Sinocrassula yunnanensis is therefore a low-maintenance plant, just like the other two Seasonals. With a preference for a light pitch, Sinocrassula yunnanensis is a real show-stealer. The dark green with dark purple colors make the compact plant stand out, the color can even turn a bit lighter green over time.

Kalanchoe humilis

Another plant with purple hues is the Kalanchoe humilis, with its red-purple patterns, the plant is a real eye-catcher in the interior! Originally, this plant can be found in arid areas in Tanzania, Malawi, and Mozambique, where it is warm and dry. Therefore, the Kalanchoe humilis is also in place in sandy soil between stones and rocks. A lot of water is therefore not necessary, in the summer the succulent plant prefers to have water once every two weeks, and in the winter once every two months… That is also easy to maintain. When the Kalanchoe humilis gets more sunlight, the red-purple patterns become more intense in color, then it stands out! This is the second year that this plant is part of our range. What do you think of this plant?

Kalanchoe thyrsiflora

The last Seasonal is also our plant of the month for May: the Kalanchoe thyrsiflora! The Kalanchoe thyrsiflora gives a real summer feeling with its beautiful color on the leaves. This plant likes to be in the spotlight and enjoy the sun. The more sun, the more intense the color of the plant's leaves will become. If you want the plant to be nicely round on all sides, turn the plant regularly so that it has a nice growth! The Kalanchoe thyrsiflora is also called the desert rose, a nickname that fits perfectly because of the beautiful colors and the shape of the bloom! Before cultivation, the plants are placed outside in the sun early on to bring out their color. How do you like the color?

The Kalanchoe thyrsiflora does not mind having dry air, so the plant fits perfectly on the windowsill with a heater nearby. Because it is succulent, the plant needs little water, just like the other Seasonals, this is also due to the leaves of the Kalanchoe thyrsiflora! Then you will think, through the leaves? The desert rose stores water in its leaves, which means that the water requirement is low… If you want the plant to retain its beautiful color, it is best to place it in the sun, but also water on the soil and not on the leaves. . When you water the leaves, the beautiful gray glow disappears.
